This is what is known as the Wheel of the Year - the pagan community divides each year into eight sections, divided by what are known as the Major Sabbats - festivals and celebrations honouring the particular seasons and the changes in the natural world which take place at these times. Some have parallels in the non-pagan world, such as Ostara and Easter, or Yule and Christmas, which may be due to the introduction of Christianity to western civilization and the absorption of existing festivals into the new calendar. This is a representation of the year, with various Maidens I have created for the Sabbats displayed at each season....thankyou to my husband for his nifty work with Photoshop in order to create it!
